In Tutankhamun’s tomb, honey was found that was probably more than 3,000 years old. During wars, the Romans and Greeks used honey to strengthen the body, and also to heal wounds. Honey was also used in religious cults, embalming rituals, and for a long time, it was reserved for the elite because it was relatively expensive.
