She left us forty-eight hours later.
A legacy that seemed insignificant
He handed me only one thing:

Not a penny. No precious objects. Just this plant that had always been there, silent, in a corner of the living room. Strangely, I didn’t feel any bitterness. I had watered her, cared for her, and even chatted with her for years during my moments of solitude. She was like a familiar presence.

down The next morning, my phone didn’t stop vibrating. It was Léa. Panicked. In tears.
