“I saw her hurrying away”: Louise, the only unharmed employee of Constellation, describes the fire in Crans-Montana.

“The smell will linger in my nostrils for a long time.”

In an article published late Friday evening, January 16, our colleagues at BFMTV revealed several details that Louise, a 25-year-old French woman and the only Constellation employee to escape the fire unharmed, had shared with investigators. In an interview on January 8, the young woman confided: “Since the events, I can hardly sleep. I constantly see the faces of the dead, people I served, whom I recognized outside, burned to death. The smell will linger in my nostrils.”

Just like Cyane, the waitress who died that terrible night, she was part of the team that delivered bottles—a dozen, according to the young woman—containing lit candles to a group of guests in the VIP area. Jessica Moretti had previously tasked her with retrieving costumes—masks, helmets, and the like—from the

office.

“It was horrific.”
