One morning I was driving to work on my usual highway. As I drove along, I noticed a passenger in the back of the car in front of me who seemed to be staring at me. I was driving at about 105 km/h, and while my eyesight isn’t bad, it’s not perfect either. Nevertheless, I had the impression that this person was staring intently at me.

At first, I didn’t pay much attention, thinking it might just be a child or someone trying to annoy other drivers in the morning. But the closer I got, the more I realized the passenger wasn’t moving. Even closer, I saw what it really was: The car’s owner had replaced the rear headrest with a fully made-up mannequin head… looking backward.
