Why do stains form on the hands and how can they be removed?

Why do these spots appear?
Spots that appear with age, especially on the hands, are often called brown spots or age spots. Their scientific name is solar lentigines. They are primarily caused by repeated sun exposure over the years. It’s almost as if the skin remembers every single UV ray it has been exposed to… and after a while, this becomes visible.
